December 2018 legislation updates for Northern Ireland.
Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases
The Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2018 (SI 2018 No. 206) make updates to existing Regulations on fluorinated greenhouse gases. These Regulations introduce new requirements for businesses on labelling of equipment containing F-gases, the inclusion of work with refrigeration units of refrigerated trucks and trailers in several F-gas offences, and a new requirement for businesses transferring F-gas work to another organisation. The Regulations also contain a new certification requirement for work with F-gases in stationary refrigeration, air conditioning, heat pumps and the refrigeration units of trucks and trailers.

Water Licencing
The Water (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) (EU Exit) Regulations 2018 ensure that water legislation will continue to be operable in the United Kingdom after the UK leaves the EU. The instrument addresses deficiencies in the retained EU law arising from the UK's withdrawal from the EU. The purpose of the instrument is to preserve and protect the existing policy regime - it will not introduce any new policy.
